Nutscene

Nutscene (the name originated from the first product, a green garden twine which, when tied around the plant cannot be seen, “not seen”, ‘Nutscene‘!) has been involved in the manufacturing and processing of jute twines since 1922, in Dundee, Scotland.

Today, Nutscene is located a short drive away from the city of Dundee, in the rural county of Angus but they are still using the original machinery first used in 1922 and providing employment for local people.

Nutscene uses ethically sourced materials from sustainable crops. Jute in particular is an environmentally beneficial crop, rain-fed and fast growing, it will grow on wastelands and helps to improve the soil condition for future crops,  it also reduces CO2.
