THE COLOUR INJECTION
It’s gift guide season and the ‘For Him / For Her’ approach to seasonal shopping doesn’t sit very well with us, so instead we decided to group the Simple Shape collection into approximate colour groups (like re-organising pencils into colour order in the pencil tin) to help you with your gift shopping.
All of our gifts are handmade, crafted things that have ALL, without exception, been made in the UK and Ireland and that each support a designer, maker, small business or unique industry then this is the gift guide for you.

THESE are the bowls that you have been looking for. Trust me, I have been searching too. From a big bowl of porridge, through to a hearty soup, a warming stew or a decent bowl of pasta - this is it. Made in porcelain, each of these are slip cast and then glossy glazed on the inside and polished to a pebbly smooth finish on the outside. Mix and match the poink and grey if you can’t decide which to choose. The colours work really well together.

I’ve called it a Tea Cup because ‘Flat White Cup’ sounded a bit pretentious! Basically it’s a really lovely 6oz cup, slipcast in porcelain, with a glossy glazed inside and a pebble-smooth outside. These versatile water jugs are simple, of course, but definitely not plain. Available in 'sherbet lemon' and 'candy floss pink' they add a sweetness to your kitchen table. And of course, flowers look great in them too.

This large bowl is a great addition to the kitchen. It’s an excellent mixing bowl but it’s characteristic utility and functional simplicity means it’s not only practical but it looks good on the table too. These clever twines have a starting point in the centre of the spool which means you’re much less likely to get into a tangle. And, they’re biodegradable and are made in Scotland, as they have been since 1922.

There’s no doubt that these are ideal gifts for babies (if I had my babies again I’d want to snuggle them in these). The herringbone pattern takes its name from the skeleton of a herring and its history can be traced to the building of Roman roads (I think). So, it's a classic. Woven from 100% lambswool these cushions are soft and squashy. So, settle back and relax.
