Daniel Schofield

Daniel Schofield initially studied at Warwickshire College. He took art and graphic design courses before going on to do a carpentry apprenticeship which included house and office build work and historic building restoration and it is precisely this hands-on practical exposure in tandem with an arts-based education that led to a Furniture and Product Design degree at Sheffield Hallam University. The breadth of this background education: graphics, craft, construction has led Daniel to hold tight to his belief that ‘no details should exist without reason’. This plays out across his body of work.

The Caster Candle Holder is designed in London and made in a traditional foundry along the River Thames.
