DAY SIX: Black and white thinking on Salt & Pepper
Today, day 6 of our seasonal gift guide, we're pushing Salt & Pepper. Scattered letters on the lids of these Salt & Pepper Pinch Pots adds a playful je ne sais quoi to the condiments. Made in sustainable Irish Beech, they're are making their debut on the Simple Shape site today.
Made in Dublin by Saturday Workshop, a company founded by father and daughter, Edward & Iseult. These two are brilliant (that's the pinch pots and the design team). I first met Saturday Workshop at a trade fair in Dublin but had the pleasure of drinking lemonade with them during London Design Festival this September. When they began, both father and daughter were considering the future; one possibility thinking of retirement the other with a quite a different plan in mind!
Together, they have combined their considerable skills Iseult's in architecture and Edward's in engineering and boat building to design and make their wooden products.
Simple and practical, these pinch pots come boxed and would make a thoughtful gift for anyone with a table!
