SIMPLE SHAPE'S 14-DAY HOLIDAY GUIDE / day 01

Welcome to our HOLIDAY GUIDE.
This is our guide to a 'seasonal little bit of everything'; gifts to give, of course there will be lots of suggestions of beautiful handmade, crafted gifts. But, there may also be decorations, perhaps a 'how-to-make' article, possibly a seasonal recipe. This 'guide' is intended to give you some gift ideas but mostly to make you feel merry and bright!

DAY ONE: The Giant Irish Elk (a non-Grinch nod to decorating your house early)

Elk on the shelf; a nod to 'seasonal' dressing

Love Christmas, the build up, the excitement, planning food, choosing gifts, but not that crazy about decorating in early December...?

Make an exception for this Elk. Firstly, he isn't really a Christmas decoration, but there is something satisfyingly 'seasonal' looking about him. He is made in Dublin from sustainable Irish Beech by a Father and Daughter team known as 'Saturday Workshop'. Elk will happily sit on a shelf giving a gentle nod to the season, or he can be reconfigured by small hands intrigued by the robust, simple puzzle pieces. And as he comes in a very nice box he makes a good gift too.

It's good to get started on the seasonal stuff and Giant Irish Elk is a very good starting point it seems to me.
